Robinaugh Ambulance Service was started on October 1, 1976 by Larry Robinaugh after purchasing the service from the funeral home he worked for. The service started with the ambulances the funeral home used: a Dodge van and a Cadillac. The days of the Cadillac ambulances are no longer, but we still keep one around for car shows and parades. Robinaugh contracted with the City of Bellefontaine as well as several Townships in Logan County to provide ambulance service to its residents. All of the staff were EMT's and were part time. Over the next few years, several of our EMT's took additional training and became Paramedics. Robinaugh Ambulance was the second department in Logan County to offer this service.
In 1984, Darin Robinaugh joined his father in the family business. The two partnered in 2000 and changed the name to Robinaugh EMS. Larry retired in 2006 after 47 years of service to the community.
Today, Robinaugh EMS, LLC serves the citizens of Logan, Union, Hardin and Champaign counties as well as hospitals, nursing homes, hospice, assisted living centers, doctors' offices and local fire and EMS departments with Emergency and Non Emergency medical transportation when needed.
We now have two locations. In addition to our main office in Bellefontaine we now have a satellite location in Marysville.
